The Bobby Henline Foundation, doing business as Forging Forward is hosting an active duty/veteran military and first responder and Gold Star Family Retreat. This Retreat location will have co-ed lodging available at Camp Perry in Port Clinton, OH.

This is an adults-only retreat.

Forging Forward is invested in Suicide Prevention through personal connections. 

The Forging Forward Walleye Fishing Retreat is open to male and female active duty/veterans who can ambulate independently:

• Military
• Law enforcement
• Firefighters
• EMS
• Rescue Squad
• 911 Operators
• Gold Star Family Members (Parent, Spouse, Child 18+ years)

CHRIS BRUNEAU, Navy veteran, is hosting the 6th Annual Memorial Day Sweatraiser as a fundraiser for Forward Forward, The Bobby Henline Foundation!

The event is in Virginia Beach, VA - on the beach - and will consist of fun physical activities for any age! Bring the kids! Exercise, Sweat, Connect, Have Fun!

CONNECTION AND FRIENDSHIP MAKE A DIFFERENCE
The 6th Annual Memorial Day Sweat-Raiser, is more than just a workout—it’s a way to honor those who gave the ultimate sacrifice. Other goals are to actively dismantle stigma surrounding asking for help, normalize conversations around mental health, and provide lifesaving resources to those in crisis - camaraderie and friendship. This event is the conversation starter and our hope is everyone makes new friends, form bonds, and keep the conversation going.

It’s a family-friendly fundraiser, ensuring everyone can participate and contribute to those in need of support.

Workout Details

For five years, this community has shown up, sweated together, and raised money for a cause that truly matters. Proceeds - 100% - go directly to Forging Forward — Bobby Henline's non-profit dedicated to PTSD awareness and the prevention of Veteran Suicide. Bobby is an Army Staff Sergeant and sole survivor of an IED blast in Iraq that took the lives of four of his brothers. He turned that pain into purpose, and Forging Forward is the result.

In 2026, Bruneau is retiring the MURPH and introducing a new workout built to honor Memorial Day, a day dedicated to honoring and remembering the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military. Activities include:

1 Mile Run — Boardwalk
300 Air Squats
200 Burpees
100 Pull-Ups
Finish: ½ Mile Boardwalk + ½ Mile Run Back on Beach

It's going to hurt. That's the point. Because the men and women we're remembering gave everything.

Inclusivity and Community

Designed for the whole family, the event emphasizes teamwork and community, ensuring everyone from fitness enthusiasts to beginners can join. It’s about coming together to support a vital cause, with every participant playing a role in making a difference.

This is your chance to be part of something impactful, honoring our heroes while supporting veterans and first responders in need.

How to Participate

Donations are encouraged, any amount you choose - but not required to participate. Donations are also accepted the day of event, whether you participate or not! We would love to meet you! If you don't want to donate, just show up and support those who are doing the workout!
